What are Essential Oils?

Essential oils are natural compounds found in various parts of a plant, including its roots, stems, flowers, and seeds. These compounds contain a variety of anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and infection-fighting properties which protect the plant from disease and harsh conditions.

It is important to note that the quality of essential oils and the method by which they are extracted varies greatly from one company to the next. There are many products on the market today claiming to be or to contain essential oils that may, in reality, be chemically derived, diluted and/or adulterated in some way.
